Community Outreach Specialist
Location: Sacramento, CA

Reports to: Director of Strategic Growth
Status: Full-time, salary, exempt
This position is eligible for health benefits and Executive PTO policy

Summary of Role:

The Outreach Specialist works within an assigned territory that can change from time to time. The primary objective is to create relationships with referral partners in order to help clients find a safe space for them to recover. This position will be responsible for hosting networking events and dinners, facilitating tours, attending conferences and weekly meetings with referral partners. This position may be required to travel from time to time. 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher education is required 
  • Minimum of 1 year in the eating disorders or behavioral health field is a plus, preferably in a community outreach or marketing role 
  • Must have experience with Google applications and programs and other software databases. Experience with a CRM is a plus, but not required
  • Interpersonal/communication skills are a must for this position. Strong customer service skills, ability to resolve conflict, accurately and effectively present information to management, site staff and the general public is a must. 
  • This person must be reliable, showing up to meetings on time and adhering to their own schedules. This person must be a self-starter and have good time management. 
  • This person needs to complete all assigned tasks to the best of their ability and on schedule. 
  • This person will uphold professional boundaries with clients and co-workers as well as within the referral partner community. This person will show up to work in professional work attire and positively represent the and promote Thrive Wellness. 
  • This person will perform duties to the highest standards and stay within the parameters regarding ethical business practices

Requirements: 

  • Must adhere to drug-free workplace act. 
  • Must have a clean driving record and adhere to company transportation policy.
  • Demonstrate maturity of judgment, attitude and life skills.
  • Must demonstrate an ability to adapt to change and remain flexible. 
  • Must be a strong team player that works well in a busy team environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintains the safety and well-being of all clients. This includes any personal health information.
  • Effectively communicates and collaborates with all staff at Thrive.
  • Manages the assigned region and effectively communicates with referral partners. 
  • Prioritize key areas within the region that have high referral potential for Thrive. 
  • Strategically manages the region with the ability to shift and adapt quickly. 
  • Travels as needed within the assigned region
  • Runs lead on planned events, dinners, educational events, tours, conferences and open houses with regards to referral partners. 
  • Stays within the given budget. 
  • Follows the referral partner through the entire process of a client referral (inquiry, to admission to discharge). 
  • Prioritizes goals set on a quarterly basis and manages data entry within the CRM (records all meetings, events, calls, emails, etc) on a weekly basis.
