Alivia Flewellen, LMSW, CSW-I
Alivia Flewellen earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Phoenix and a master’s degree in social work from the University of Nevada, Reno, where she currently teaches students in the social work program. Throughout her career, Alivia has worked in nonprofit program development, which spans from assisting individuals experiencing homelessness to transitional housing programs and mentoring clients. Additionally, she worked with clients experiencing their first psychotic episode by providing therapy and case management services.
As a therapist intern at Thrive Wellness Reno, Alivia contributes to our integrated care model for clients facing eating disorders and works with individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and psychosis. She is passionate about helping individuals learn more about themselves while gaining new insights and building self-confidence. She believes that connecting with oneself mentally and physically empowers individuals to identify and address their needs and desires in the ways that best serve them.
While originally from Las Vegas, Alivia currently enjoys living in Northern Nevada. When she’s not working with clients, she likes to spend her time crafting, vacationing, and spending time with her husband and their six pets.
