Developed in the late 1980s by Marsha Linehan, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) teaches tangible skills for creating a life worth living whatever that may mean to you. Linehan found that there are four aspects of life that are necessary to prioritize. Following the Linehan model, our clinical experts teach these four DBT skill sets: mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness.

*Thrive’s DBT support groups are open to clients who have a referral from their Thrive therapist.

Perinatal Mental Health Support Group

Thursdays at 9:30 a.m. (Virtual)
Led by Lauren Kalogridis, Perinatal Program Manager

70 to 80 percent of parents will experience the “baby blues” after a little ones arrives. Around 15 to 20 percent of new parents experience perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMADs), which interfere with their ability to find confidence and joy in pregnancy and parenthood. If you’re struggling with perinatal mental health, we welcome you to join our free support group which connects you to a community of healing.

All are welcome.

Our support groups are unique offerings designed to unite those with shared experiences and nurture healing through peer support and compassion. Participants are invited to engage in meaningful connection with an understanding community that can provide validation, empathy, and encouragement. Often, there are opportunities to explore additional resources available in the local community to foster further healing.

While guided by clinical experts, groups are not intended to serve as substitutes for therapy, psychiatry, or other clinical support systems. We encourage anyone who needs or desires dedicated support to contact our team at Thrive Wellness. Please reach out to reno@thrivehere.com or call (775) 525 – 8103. We would be happy to connect you to the care that you need.
