DESCRIPTION & DUTIES:
Location: In-person Reno, NV 89501
The Eating Disorder (ED) Recovery Coach reports to the ED Program Coordinator. This position is full-time with shifts ranging between 8–12 hours per day, a 40-hour work week, and is considered hourly, non-exempt per wage and hour law.
Schedule: Monday to Friday, Full-time, 40 hours per week (8-hour, 10-hour, or 12-hour shifts)
Duties:
- Supervise daily meals with clients according to meal protocol
- Assist in or oversee meal preparation per guidelines from Registered Dietitian
- Maintain a therapeutic milieu and provide crisis intervention to clients as needed
- Transport clients to outings and follow company transportation safety policy
- Present didactic material to clients
- Ensure all documentation is clear, concise, professional, and timely
- Maintain a daily schedule to ensure groups and meals are on time
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma, Associate’s Degree, or educational equivalency
- 2 years prior behavioral health experience
- Proficient in spelling, grammar, and multi-tasking
- Self-starter who learns quickly
- Strong computer skills
- Demonstrates competency and sensitivity in the areas of multicultural, racial, religious/spiritual, gender, gender identity, gender expression, and sexual orientation issues
SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:
- Must pass a federal background check at hire and every 3 years.
- Must adhere to the drug-free workplace act.
- Must have a clean driving record and adhere to company transportation policy.
- Demonstrate maturity of judgment, attitude, and life skills.
- Must demonstrate an ability to adapt to change and remain flexible.
- Must be a strong team player that works well in a busy environment.
- Must have strong communication skills and be upbeat, positive, and professional when interacting with clients, providers, and fellow co-workers.
- Must have excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, as well as the ability to effectively prioritize and manage time unsupervised & independently.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
Pay: $21.00 – $22.00 per hour
