Heather Haddox

MA, LMSW, CSW-I

As a therapist at Thrive, Heather is person-centered and seeks to help clients discover their worth and empower them to effect positive changes in their lives. Her holistic-minded approach integrates multiple aspects of health into treatment, including clients' physical, emotional, cognitive, and spiritual development. She is trained in Trauma Based Relational Intervention (TBRI), and Cognitive Based Therapy (CBT). She uses solution-based interventions and enjoys helping clients apply skills and strategies that allow them to elevate the quality of their lives. 


Heather Haddox has over 25 years of experience working in education, program and curriculum development, and advocacy. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Education and Spanish, a Master of Arts in Education, and a Master of Social Work from the 


University of Nevada. Heather demonstrates her passion for helping the community through her work with Catholic Charities and the Northern Nevada International Center, in addition to founding three schools in Guatemala for vulnerable children. Heather is also passionate about the foster care system and advocates for both parents and children. She has also worked with diverse populations including children, teens, young adults, homeless of all ages, refugees, and first-generation immigrants. Heather is bilingual in Spanish and English. 


Outside of Thrive, she enjoys the outdoors, spending time with family, dancing, and volunteering for community events.
